How much contact time does supervision entail?

Option 1:

Weekly Sessions: (12 weeks) 1 day a week for 4 hours. 12 days in total

Monday 1.30pm-5.30pm

Option 2:

Block Placement: (3 week duration) 4 days a week. 12 days in total –

Weeks by negotiation with Bower Place

Students working towards Australian Association of Family Therapy Clinical Membership.

What can I expect from the Bower Place Complex Needs Clinic?

Bower Place CNC is a teaching clinic and students participating in the Bower Place Supervision program work with Bower Place clients on a Monday afternoon or during block placements. As students in this program are qualified practitioners, client sessions are facilitated by students (under supervision) with continuous and direct oversight by Bower Place senior practitioners. Bower Place practitioners will meet with clients as part of sessions depending on requirements & participate at times.

What are the entry requirements?

Candidates seeking entry to this course must provide evidence of one of the following:

  • Completion of the  Graduate Diploma in Family Therapy & Systematic Practice

What is the cost of the course?

$2000*

* Please note that it is a requirement that we receive a $250.00 non-refundable deposit before the commencement of the course. A 10% late fee will apply if fees are not paid in full within 14 days of completion of the course. Certificates of completion will not be issued until all assignments and fees are up to date.
